Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules governing your use of the LucentSignal platform and the lucentstar.ai website, operated by LucentStar AI. This AUP forms part of our Terms of Service. By using the Service, you agree to comply with this policy.

1. Purpose

LucentSignal is designed to help B2B marketing professionals create high-quality, thoughtful content. This policy exists to protect users, third parties, and the integrity of our platform. Misuse of AI content generation tools carries reputational and legal risks — for users and for us. We take this seriously.

2. Prohibited Content

You must not use LucentSignal to generate, store, schedule, or distribute content that:

2.1 Unlawful content

• Violates any applicable law or regulation in the UK, EU, or any other jurisdiction
• Constitutes or encourages criminal activity
• Infringes the intellectual property rights of any person or organisation
• Breaches data protection law or discloses personal data without a lawful basis

2.2 Harmful or abusive content

• Is defamatory, threatening, harassing, or abusive
• Promotes or incites hatred, discrimination, or violence against any group
• Sexualises minors or promotes exploitation
• Constitutes non-consensual intimate imagery or content

2.3 Deceptive and misleading content

• Intentionally misleads or deceives readers
• Impersonates any person, brand, or organisation without their authorisation
• Makes false claims about products, services, or individuals
• Is designed to spread misinformation or disinformation
• Purports to be authored by a human when it is AI-generated, in contexts where disclosure is required by law or platform policy

2.4 Spam and unsolicited communications

• Constitutes unsolicited commercial communications (spam) in violation of PECR or equivalent laws
• Is designed for mass distribution without appropriate consent
• Is used to manipulate platform algorithms or engagement metrics artificially

3. Prohibited Activities

You must not use LucentSignal or lucentstar.ai to:

• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features, access controls, or usage quotas
• Access or attempt to access any account or system other than your own
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying AI model, system prompts, or scoring algorithms
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Service beyond normal individual use
• Resell, white-label, or redistribute the Service or its outputs commercially without a separate written agreement with LucentStar AI
• Share your account credentials with third parties
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or plan restrictions
• Conduct load testing, penetration testing, or vulnerability scanning without our prior written consent
• Use the Service in any way that could damage, overload, or impair our infrastructure or affect other users

4. AI-Specific Requirements

Given that LucentSignal generates content using AI, you additionally agree to:

• Review all AI-generated content before publishing or distributing it
• Not rely solely on AI-generated content for decisions with significant legal, financial, or reputational consequences
• Comply with the AI content disclosure policies of any platform on which you publish content (including LinkedIn's creator policies)
• Not use the Service to generate content designed to circumvent AI detection systems where disclosure of AI generation is legally required
• Take personal responsibility for the accuracy and appropriateness of all content you publish, whether AI-generated or otherwise

5. Reporting a Violation

If you believe another user is violating this policy, or if you encounter content generated using LucentSignal that concerns you, please contact us at hello@lucentstar.ai with as much detail as possible.

6. Consequences of Breach

We reserve the right to take the following actions in response to violations of this policy:

• Issue a warning and require removal of offending content
• Suspend access to the Service temporarily
• Terminate your account without refund
• Report unlawful activity to relevant authorities

We will use reasonable judgement in determining appropriate responses and will consider the severity, intent, and history of any breach.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users by email with at least 14 days notice. Continued use of the Service after the notice period constitutes acceptance. Last updated: 6 May 2026.
